University campus
The university is located in the northwestern part of Saint Petersburg. SPbPU campus area is over 120 hectares. The campus comprises 170 educational and research buildings, administrative buildings, the sports center with a swimming pool, the polyclinics, and 18 dormitories.
The ground public transport stops and 4 metro stations are within walking distance of anywhere on campus. 4 metro stations within walking distance (metro stations: Polytekhnicheskaya, Akademicheskaya, Ploschad’ Muzhestva, Lesnaya).
Dormitories
Over 10 000 students from other cities and countries live in dormitories of SPbPU campus. The campus is divided in 3 complexes of dormitories:
- on Lesnoy prospect
- on Ploshchad Muzhestva
- on Grazhdansky prospect
International students enrolled in full-time degree programs have an opportunity to stay at the student dormitory on campus. Detailed information you may find here.
Generally International students live in the international part of SPbPU campus in dormitories №13 and №15 of complex "on Grazhdansky prospect" and in the dormitory №8 and №12 of complex "on Ploshchad Muzhestva".
The dormitories are located near the educational buildings and the sports center, the ground public transport stops and metro stations.
Video surveillance systems in the buildings and electronic access cards ensure the security of all students.
Full-time students are accommodated in the block-type dormitory with 2-4-person rooms. Each block has two living rooms and an ensuite bathroom. Each dormitory comprises modern kitchens, laundry rooms, study rooms, and a leisure area.
For students to live a comfortable, active and interesting life in dormitories there are tennis and fitness rooms, classrooms, launderettes, broadband Internet and digital TV access. Dormitories have free Wi-Fi zones. There are also sportsgrounds, sports clubs and a student union on the campus territory. Various tournaments on mini-football, ping-pong, chess and other sport events are held every year and over 20 dormitory teams participate in them.
Accommodation fee
Accommodation fee per year for the self-funded students: 3,500 – 7,000 RUB. The cost depends on the dormitory and comfort conditions.
Renting a flat
If you are not interested to be a dormitory resident, you have to find housing independently. This process could take more time in the end of August –beginning of September due to the beginning of study year. Please note that starting from summer 2019, students renting apartments/rooms must register themselves with the help of landlords. We advise you to discuss this issue with the landlord in advance, as there are more cases of owners refusing to register students.
