Diploma Supplement

In order to continue your education or to work abroad, you need to recognize your Russian diploma. To undergo this procedure in a foreign country, often it is necessary to provide a document that contains sufficient data about completed education in internationally understandable format.

The European Commission, the Council of Europe and UNESCO have developed a detailed form of diploma supplement in order to ensure transparency of an education received and facilitate a procedure of recognition of national qualifications abroad. In Russia, the issuance of such a document is optional. However, in order to help its graduates, SPbPU issues Diploma Supplements at the request of graduates, which ultimately contributes to the recognition of SPbPU diplomas abroad.

Diploma Supplement is issued in English and it does not substitute original Russian credentials, but complements them. Presently Diploma Supplement can be issued for Russian and foreign graduates of Peter the Great St.Petersburg Polytechnic University, irrespective of a year of graduation and mode of study.

Advantages of Diploma Supplement:

• In the English language, the number of copies on request
• Standard set of sections, understandable for overseas educational institutions, evaluation agencies and employers
• Information about a qualification obtained, a level of education, a content of the program and learning outcomes
• Student workload in ECTS credits
• Description of the Russian education system and grading scale.

If you have not yet finished your education at SPbPU and have not received a diploma, you can apply for a transcript in English indicating courses studied, grades received and workload in ECTS credits.
