Application for readmission or transfer to SPbPU can be sent before start of the semester you would like to continue your studies from. The decision about readmission or transfer is made by SPbPU institutes where your study program is taught based on your academic performance and study programs comparison.
Transfer is not carried out during the first academic year at your home university.

Tuition fee payment and enrollment deadlines for readmission and transfer:
- For SPRING semester 2022/23 academic year for full-time & part-time study modes: till February 05, 2023.
Readmission procedure for international students (on a contract basis):
You should get a bypass list from the International student department and collect all the necessary signatures. If you completed this procedure right after expulsion, you do not need to do it again.
Send an email to the Admission office for international students. You need to send a copy of your passport, visa (if applicable) and inform the Admission office about your location.
Admission manager will send your request to the corresponding institute of SPbPU. The decision about readmission is made by institutes based on your academic performance. Time limits for the examination of readmission applications is defined by each institute separately. In case your application is approved, you may continue to the next step; in case your application is rejected, you need to follow the Admission procedure for international students to degree programs.
Get a visa invitation and apply for study visa (if applicable). Please note, that visa invitations are prepared within 5-6 weeks*.

Inform your admission manager about date and time of arrival at least 5 working days in advance. Contact SPbPU Accommodation Office (Mrs. Julia V. Soloveva, soloveva_uv@spbstu.ru or Mrs. Julia A. Rubleva, rubleva@spbstu.ru regarding possibility to stay at the dormitory.
Check-in at the dormitory (you will receive the dormitory address from SPbPU Accommodation Office in case you were assigned a place at the dormitory). If you are not going to stay at the dormitory, you need to be registered within 3 working days upon arriving to Russia and receive migration registration certificate at the place of staying.

Visit Passport and Visa Department. If you stay at the dormitory, apply for migration registration.
If you are not going to stay at the dormitory, you need to submit migration registration certificate at Passport and Visa Department for checking. Please, contact Passport and Visa Department for more information regarding time limits for the migration registration checking.
Prepare medical insurance certificate that includes life insurance, health insurance and repatriation.
Request payment instructions and details from your admission manager.
Visit Admission office in order to sign readmission form and new study contract. Submit tuition fee payment confirmation, medical insurance certificate, copy of passport, copy of visa (if applicable) and 2 photos (3*4 cm).
Get confirmation of readmission from Admission office. You will need this document for prolongation of study visa (if applicable) and migration registration (if you stay at the dormitory).
Transfer to spbpu from another univeristy (on a contract basis)
Contact Admission office via email and inform about your intention to apply for transfer to SPbPU. Please, send a copy of your passport, visa (if applicable), selected program and your location (in Russia/abroad). You will receive a reply within 1-2 working days from admission manager assigned to you.
Prepare the following documents and send them to your admission manager via email in PDF format:
- Copy of passport (pages with proto and personal data)
- Copy of visa (if applicable)
- Copy of migration card (if applicable)
- Copy of migration registration certificate at the place of stay
- Contact details of Passport and Visa department of your university
- Confirmation of enrollment at your university
- Study plan of your study program (with the list of courses, amount of academic hours, courses’ description)
- Transcript of records (list of grades) from the study office of your university
- Copy of educational document with transcript of records (high school diploma/certificate with list of grades or vocational education institution diploma/certificate with the list of grades)
- Translation of educational document with transcript of records into the Russian or English language
Your application and documents are reviewed by SPbPU institute where the selected program is taught, Passport and Visa Department, Centre for International Credential Evaluation. Please note that transfer application’s consideration can take up to 3 weeks. Your admission manager will contact you with the results. In case your application for transfer is accepted, you will receive a letter of acceptance.
Visit Passport and Visa department of your university and submit letter of acceptance from SPbPU. Request a letter/document approving your transfer to SPbPU.
